Neither claims to be the other, and they are not interchangeable. Yet when placed side by side, each can clarify the other. The Major Arcana's Tower card, in particular, mirrors moments in Human Design when the ground beneath your conditioning gives way.

Card XVI shows a tall stone structure cracked by a bolt of fire, figures tumbling from its windows. Traditionally it names what happens when a false edifice—belief, relationship, identity, career—collapses under the weight of its own untruth. The Tower is not punishment; it is revelation. Lightning illuminates, and what is revealed often has to be torn down before it can be rebuilt on honest ground.
