A bodygraph is a visual map of your energy system. It consists of 9 centers (triangles and squares), 64 gates (numbers), and 36 channels (lines between centers). Defined (colored) centers are your consistent energy, open (white) ones are where you amplify others' energy. The bodygraph shows how you process information, make decisions, and interact with the world.

What is a Type in Human Design?

Type is the fundamental characteristic of your Design. There are 5 types: Generator (~37%), Manifesting Generator (~33%), Projector (~20%), Manifestor (~8%), and Reflector (~1%). Each type has its own strategy for interacting with the world, signature (sign of correct living), and Not-Self theme (signal of a false path).

What is Strategy and why do I need it?

Strategy is the correct way of interacting with the world for your type. Generator — Wait to Respond, Manifesting Generator — Respond + Inform, Projector — Wait for Invitation, Manifestor — Inform, Reflector — Wait a Lunar Cycle. When you follow your strategy, resistance decreases and your signature appears — satisfaction, success, peace, or surprise.

What is Inner Authority?

Inner Authority is your decision-making mechanism. It's NOT the mind — it's the body. There are 7 types: Emotional (wait for clarity after the wave), Sacral (listen for 'uh-huh/nuh-uh'), Splenic (instant intuition), Ego (what do I want?), Self-Projected (hear yourself through speaking), Mental (discuss with others), and Lunar (wait 28 days).

What's the difference between a Generator and Manifesting Generator?

Both have a defined Sacral center and Respond strategy. The difference: Manifesting Generator (MG) has a motor channel to the Throat, giving manifestation ability. MGs are faster, multi-tasking, non-linear (jumping between tasks). Pure Generators are more sequential, 'builders', achieving mastery through deep focus on one topic.

Why do Projectors get tired quickly?

Projectors don't have a defined Sacral center — they lack a stable source of working energy. They amplify the sacral energy of others (Generators), so they may feel energetic in company but then 'crash'. Projectors need more rest, shorter workdays, and alone time for recovery.
