The Juxtaposition Angle: Fixed Fate
In the mandala of Human Design, the three life angles—Right, Left, and Juxtaposition—describe the fundamental orientation of an Incarnation Cross. The Juxtaposition Cross is the angle of fixed fate. Unlike the Right Angle, where personal destiny unfolds through self-determined choices and the channeling of one's specific lifeforce into the world, and unlike the Left Angle, where transpersonal karma is worked out through relationships and the mirroring of others, the Juxtaposition angle does not move. The same themes, the same bargains, the same configurations of agreement return again and again throughout the life, calling the soul to a particular negotiation it cannot escape—only understand more deeply.
The personality and design of a Juxtaposition being are literally juxtaposed—overlaid, pressed against each other. The light of consciousness and the salt of the body meet in a friction that creates the spark of purpose. For those born under the Cross of Bargains, the question of every incarnation is the question of the deal: What have you agreed to? With whom? And on what terms?

Gate 37 carries the energy of emotional bonding and the agreements of the heart. Its wisdom is simple: a friend is someone with whom you have made a bargain. Blood, loyalty, time, attention, love—these are currencies, and Gate 37 understands their exchange better than most.
The bargain is not merely transactional. It is the sacred mechanism by which separate beings decide to be together. Marriage
