Its designation is "Wishes" because the entire cross is dedicated to the human capacity to want, imagine, and dream forward into unrealized experience.

Where the underlying birth chart is the mechanical foundation, the Incarnation Cross is the thematic myth of the life. The Wishes cross carries the specific burden of holding humanity's appetite for more. Gates 41 and 31 form the conscious zodiac — the personality's active face — while Gates 28 and 27 sit in the unconscious design, providing the deeper, more instinctive backbone.
