By now in our journey through your chart, you've met the Centers — those nine squares of energy that pulse through your BodyGraph like the rooms of a house. You've traced the contours of your Type, Strategy, and Authority. You've explored your Profile and the Incarnation Cross. But there is a layer beneath all of this that ties everything together: the Channels and Gates, the wiring of your being.
Think of your BodyGraph not as a static diagram, but as a living circuit board. The Centers are the major components, the source points of the energies that animate you. But without the lines that run between them — without the wiring — nothing would transmit. Nothing would connect. Nothing would become you.
The Gates: 64 Portals of Potential
Before we can speak of Channels, we need to meet the Gates. There are 64 of them, and each corresponds directly to one of the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching, the ancient Chinese Book of Changes. Every Gate is a portal of specific energy, a coded frequency with its own theme, its own teaching, and its own name.
You will see Gates referred to either by number — Gate 1, Gate 13, Gate 64 — or by a name, such as the Gate of Self-Expression, the Gate of the Watchtower, or the Gate of Confusion. The number refers to the hexagram in the I Ching from which the Gate draws its wisdom
