New Moon Intentions Aligned With Your Human Design Strategy
There is a quiet conspiracy between the moon and your design. Every 28 days, the moon sweeps through the 64 gates of the I'Ching wheel, lighting up channels in the bodygraph and pressing the very centers that define how you make decisions. The new moon closes a cycle and opens another. The full moon brings it to a peak. And in between, the lunar transit is touching the circuitry you live through.
So when you set a new moon intention, you are not really starting from a blank page. You are dropping a stone into a river that is already moving. The question is whether you are dropping it upstream or downstream of who you actually are.
This is where Human Design changes the ritual.
Strategy Before Intention
The most common mistake people make at the new moon is treating it as a blank invitation to manifest. They light a candle, write a list, declare a desire, and assume the universe is listening. Sometimes it is. Most of the time, the ritual simply reinforces the strategy of the mind: forcing, hoping, pushing.
Human Design gives you something better. Your Type tells you how you are here to engage with life, and your Authority tells you how your body is built to make correct decisions. Any ritual that bypasses these two is decoration. Any ritual that honors them becomes a real tool.
A new moon intention written from Strategy is not a wish. It is a recognition of how you are designed to move.
The Three Cycles Worth Tracking
There are three cycles that matter when you bring HD into your moon practice.
The lunar month. New moon to full moon to new moon. About 28 days. The moon transits the 64 gates in this same rhythm, so the bodygraph is literally being activated over the month. Notice which gates and channels get lit. Notice which centers respond. Journaling through the cycle turns the body into a real-time oracle.
The emotional wave. If you have Emotional Authority, this cycle is your decision-making tool. You cannot make a correct decision in the height of a wave or the depth of a trough. Clarity arrives somewhere in between, often over several days. The new moon is rarely the moment of clarity. It is the moment the wave begins. Your intention, if you make one, should be to honor the wave, not to crown it.
The personal cycle. Each year, the Sun returns to its exact natal position around your birthday. The year between solar returns is the longest personal cycle you can work with consciously. The new and full moons
