Gate 24, Rationalization / Returning, is the I Ching hexagram of the thunder that returns to the earth — the first stirring of the new after the stillness of the solstice. It is the mind's mechanism for metabolizing experience, releasing the old, and re-entering the cycle of thought from a renewed place. The Line 6 Resonance

Line 6 in Human Design is the Phase of the Swan — the person who, having transited the gate's full spectrum, is preparing to phase out of the gate's ordinary functioning into its role-model expression. They are the optimist because the pessimist, by Line 6 in maturity, has already died off. Around 30, they begin the transition from subject to observer.
